Trapy Displacement Only is a lightweight TradingView indicator designed to detect Bullish and Bearish Displacement Candles based on Smart Money Concepts (SMC). It automatically identifies candles with a large body and small wicks, helping traders spot strong institutional momentum and potential breakout moves without cluttering the chart.

How to Use This Indicator

  1. Click the TradingView Link above.

  2. Open the indicator page on TradingView.

  3. Click Add to Favorite Indicators or Add to Chart.

  4. Apply it to your preferred market and timeframe.

  5. Watch for green labels below candles for Bullish Displacement and red labels above candles for Bearish Displacement.

  6. Use these signals together with Market Structure, FVG, Liquidity, or Support & Resistance for stronger trade confirmation.

How It Works

The indicator compares each candle's body size with the average body size over a selected period. When a candle has a significantly larger body and both wicks remain relatively small, it is classified as a Displacement Candle.

  • Bullish Displacement: Large bullish body with small wicks.

  • Bearish Displacement: Large bearish body with small wicks.

This helps traders identify candles that often represent strong buying or selling pressure from institutional participants.

The highest-probability setups occur when a Displacement Candle appears after a Break of Structure (BOS) or Change of Character (CHoCH). For even stronger confirmation, combine it with Fair Value Gap (FVG), Liquidity Sweeps, or Order Blocks before entering a trade.
